Brent Pickett, Lead Vocals & Guitar

Born the son of a sailor Brent spent his formative years playing folk clubs in England and Northern California. After years on the true daddy circuit he finally made it home at last with his true brothers in BooDaddy. Brent enjoys the eclectic mix of dance songs and blues with BooDaddy’s own take and feel on old classics and new originals. From jazz fusion to slow earthy blues Brent and Rich play off of each other for their own kind of funky show.

Rich Lear, Rhythm Guitar, Harp, and Vocals

Rich Lear grew up in the ghetto suburb of Belmont located in Lincoln Nebraska in the early 1950′s. He got his first guitar at age ten for Christmas in 1963, a Kay acoustic guitar. His first major influence was trying to play along with Ricky Nelson on The Adventures of Ozzy and Harriet. He continued playing through Jr. High and High School in bands such as Hudson Bay Co. and DaVinci Creation in Lincoln in the early 70′s.He started promoting concerts in the Lincoln area with some childhood friends with a company they formed called Belmont Enterprises Inc.

Rich moved to Colorado in 1975 for his third love after Family and Music and that was his need for speed on the slopes. Rich has resided in Colorado ever since. He and Werner were neighbors briefly in 1982 and played together occasionally. His musical influences include the likes of BB King, Buddy Guy, JR Wells, various southern bands. One other influence he likes to mention is his Boo Brother, Brent. He especially would like to thank his family and friends for their constant support.

Ron Gatzen, Drummer Extraordinaire & Vocals

Ron Gatzen is originally from the Netherlands, and was born to a Dutch mother in a very painful manner due to the pair of Vic Firth 5 A drum sticks he had in his hands. After banging on anything within reach, Ron got his first kit and lessons when he was 8 years old and never looked back. After playing in garage bands in middle school and the Jazz and stage band in High School, and NO he never went to band camp, Ron formed a popular band in Salt Lake City called Transit to Scorpio. The band had some local success playing original music as a power trio, did some recording work, but never realized it’s potential and after 5 years came to an end.

Fast forward to the present and you’ll find Ron operating a transportation brokerage firm he owns, during the day, and proudly laying down the beat for BooDaddy at night. The biggest kick he gets, is when BooDaddy is playing and the band is on their groove and the audience is smiling and dancing and returning the love back to the 5 guys on stage. Ron enjoys the covers they play that people like to dance to, and gets great satisfaction in helping his gifted fellow musicians, create the original songs that BooDaddy is constantly putting together. Ron also gets a big kick out of his 24 year old son Sean, also a drummer, playing live with BooDaddy and letting Ron get up front and sing with the boys. Not to worry, his passion is the drums, he’ll never stray too far from them. Ron wants to give lots of love and credit to his wife Toni, for letting Ron keep his practice kit set up in the middle of the living room so he can work on his chops, and for her smiling and supportive outlook when she’s in the audience enjoying what the band has worked hard to produce.

Werner Schlicter, Bass Guitar & Vocals

Werner was born in Queens NY in 1960 and was quickly introduced to many varieties of music such as Rock and Roll, Blues, Funk and R&B, which are genres of music he still has a passion for to this day. Got his first bass at 15 and played in a few garage bands which never did nor never should leave the garage. After moving to Colorado he stopped playing bass until he met his BooBro Rich who got him playing again, but barely. BooDaddy got together in November of 2000 and are together still and have blossomed into a fun band who give their fans their money’s worth every time they take the stage. We also have become true BooBrothers throughout the years. This includes everyone present and former. Werner is lucky to have the support of my great kids Bryan and Ali whom I love dearly, and to all of our friends and family who have been there from the Get Go. Thank you also to all of you for allowing me to be me and be a part of something that makes myself and others happy. Thanks for your undying support. Peace.

Craig Fisher, Keyboardist & Vocals

Raised in upstate NY, Craig served in the military during the Vietnam era. After returning home in 1971, he went to college and in his spare time he began playing the piano, attempting to copy songs by ear that he heard on records or on the radio. He bought his first keyboard, a Fender Rhodes 73 in 1974, joined a band and has been hooked on music ever since. Craig moved to Evergreen in 1978 and has played with various bands from the Evergreen and Denver area, including Light Brigade, Point Blank, Hotline and Will Rockit. Receiving great support from family and friends over the years, Craig has made music a passion in his life and hopes to continue for a long time to come.
